Suffolk Small Businesses Team Up for “Bucket Full of Sunshine Lavender Palooza” Event

Jun 10, 2026

Suffolk Economic Development is thrilled to spotlight a unique collaboration between two local small businesses, Sojourn Fermentory and Owl Tree Acres Lavender Farm, for Bucket Full of Sunshine Lavender Palooza. The event will take place on Saturday, June 13, from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Sojourn Fermentory, located at 1400 Bridgeport Way, Suite 103.

The community is invited to celebrate all things lavender with specialty beverages, eats, local products, and a fun-filled afternoon of activities. See all the event details on their social media channels.

Owl Tree Acres Lavender Farm, Suffolk’s first and only lavender farm, is owned and operated by Jen and Ryan Buchheit. Their passion for lavender extends far beyond its fragrance. “Lavender is far more than a scent; it’s a secret ingredient waiting to transform your kitchen,” said Jen. The farm offers a variety of small-batch, handmade, and homegrown products, including lavender simple syrup, teas, salad dressings, soaps, dried lavender, and much more.

At Sojourn Fermentory, craft beverages and community go hand in hand. The name “Sojourn” reflects the brewery’s mission of bringing people together, and they continue to build a loyal following through their locally crafted beers and ciders. For Lavender Palooza, guests can enjoy limited-time specialty offerings, including a Lavender

Blackberry Cider and a refreshing Lavender Lemonade Bucket Cocktail, available while supplies last.

“We were thrilled to help connect these two Suffolk small businesses,” said Erin Dears, Small Business Development Manager with Suffolk Economic Development. “I first met Jen at the Suffolk Farmers Market several years ago and was excited to reconnect with her in this role. One of the most rewarding parts of economic development is fostering relationships that lead to creative partnerships like this. Seeing local entrepreneurs come together and create something special for the community is exactly the kind of local magic we love to support.”
