City of Suffolk To Host Salute To Veterans Stall Crawl
The City of Suffolk invites residents and visitors to celebrate local veterans and explore Suffolk’s vibrant equine community during the Salute to Veterans Stall Crawl, scheduled for Sunday, November 8, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
This special community event will recognize the service and sacrifice of America’s veterans while highlighting the farms, equestrian facilities, and local businesses that contribute to Suffolk’s agricultural heritage and economic vitality. Participants will have an opportunity to visit participating locations, experience Suffolk’s horse community, and show their support for the men and women who have served our nation.
The Stall Crawl brings the community together by connecting veterans, families, equine enthusiasts, and visitors with local farms and businesses. As participants explore the featured destinations, the event will highlight Suffolk’s equine industry and the important contribution agriculture and agritourism make to the local economy.
“Suffolk’s veterans deserve our gratitude and recognition, and this event offers a wonderful opportunity to celebrate their contributions while showcasing the farms and businesses that make our community special,” said Julia Hillegass, Agricultural Specialist. “The Salute to Veterans Stall Crawl brings together two important parts of Suffolk’s identity, our strong military community and our rich agricultural heritage.”
The event is being coordinated by the City of Suffolk Department of Economic Development in collaboration with participating farms, equestrian businesses, and community partners. Additional information about participating locations, activities, and event details will be shared through the City’s communication channels.
Residents and visitors are encouraged to mark their calendars for Sunday, November 8, and join Suffolk in honoring veterans while discovering the people and places that make the city’s equine community unique. Participating farms include Liberty Lane Farm, SunFire Equestrian, and Sunny Days Farm.
