Storage Authority Carolina Road Opens in Suffolk
Storage Authority Carolina Road, a new family-owned and operated self-storage facility, is now open at 865 Carolina Road. The City of Suffolk’s Economic Development Department will join Storage Authority Carolina Road for a ribbon-cutting celebration on Friday, August 28, at 11:00 a.m.
Located just north of Turlington Road and near U.S. Route 13, Storage Authority Carolina Road offers convenient storage solutions for residents and businesses throughout Suffolk and the surrounding area.
The new facility is the first Storage Authority location in Suffolk and is locally owned and operated by franchise owners Christi and Mark Scholefield. Construction on the approximately eight-acre property began in 2025. The facility offers indoor, climate-controlled, and outdoor storage options, including storage for RVs, boats, automobiles, and motorcycles.
“We are excited to open Storage Authority Carolina Road and become part of the Suffolk community,” said owners Christi and Mark. “We combine the care of a family-owned business with a commitment to exceptional service, proudly serving our community every day.”
The facility features electronic gate access, digital video surveillance, perimeter fencing, well-lit driveways, on-site management, complimentary use of dollies and
carts, and convenient access seven days a week. Customers can rent units and make payments online, by phone, or in person. For information about grand-opening specials, call 866-467-7221 or visit Storage Authority Carolina Road.
