Suffolk Celebrates Grand Opening of Golden Luxe Arena

SUFFOLK, VA (January 28, 2026) The City of Suffolk is excited to announce the grand opening of Golden Luxe Arena, a new family-focused roller skating and entertainment venue located at 813 W. Constance Street in downtown Suffolk. A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held on Friday, January 23, 2026, celebrating the addition of a vibrant new destination that supports downtown revitalization and community engagement.

Owned by Dwight James, Golden Luxe Arena is designed to provide a safe, fun, and welcoming environment for kids, teens, and families. Following the ribbon-cutting ceremony, the public was invited to stay and enjoy skating, entertainment, and a first look at Suffolk’s newest venue for family fun.

“Golden Luxe Arena was built for our kids and our community,” said Dwight James, owner. “Suffolk needed a safe place where families can come together, have fun, and create lasting memories. This is more than a skating rink, it’s an investment in our youth and in the future of our city.”

Golden Luxe Arena is expected to make a positive impact on downtown Suffolk by increasing foot traffic for nearby businesses, supporting local jobs, and providing new opportunities for community programming and private events.

Golden Luxe Arena will offer regular skating sessions, private event bookings, and an after-school youth skating program.

Hours of operation are:

• Wednesday: 6:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.
• Thursday: 6:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.
• Friday: 6:00 p.m. – 12:00 a.m.
• Saturday: 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 a.m.
• Sunday: 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 a.m.
• Monday & Tuesday: Closed (open for private events only)

The after-school skating program runs Monday through Friday from 2:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
