M S International, Inc. (MSI), the leading supplier of flooring, countertops, wall tile, and hardscaping products in North America broke ground to build a new 548,000 square foot distribution center in Suffolk, Virginia. The project will take approximately 20 months to complete and will result in the addition of at least 80 new jobs.

This state-of-the-art facility will focus on distributing flooring, countertop, wall tile, and hardscaping products throughout the region that are imported through the port of Norfolk. MSI’s other existing Virginia locations include Dulles, Richmond and Virginia Beach which will continue to focus largely on those specific metropolitan markets.

Virginia Commerce Center

342,640 SF
Virginia Commerce Center is a 101-acre master-planned park developed by McDonald in Suffolk, Virginia to serve the container terminals of the Port of Virginia. The park is located on Kenyon Road off US-58 with access to the Port of Virginia via US-58, US-460, I-64, I-264 and I-664, with direct access to I-95 to reach the markets of the East Coast. Building 100 is a 385,320 square foot cross-dock warehouse distribution building with an adjoining 675-space trailer lot that was constructed by McDonald in 2008 and sold in 2016. McDonald owns the remaining 56 industrial acres that are served by CSX Rail. Building 200, a 342,640 square foot front-load facility, is under construction. Building 400, a 290,009 square foot rear-load facility, is scheduled for construction in 2024.
