SUFFOLK, VA – Industrial Realty Group, LLC (IRG), one of the largest industrial real estate
developers in the nation, announced the completion of a brand new RoadOne Intermodal
Logistics omnichannel warehouse and transload facility in Suffolk, Virginia.
The project includes a 227,500-square-foot building with 99 dock doors, approximately 17 acres
of trailer space, and 1,000+ stalls for trailer parking. The site is fully fenced, secured with
cameras, and equipped with electric forklifts and yard jockeys to move all products on-site.
“We collaborated with RoadOne to develop a customized warehouse facility to facilitate job
creation and economic growth,” said Justin Lichter, Chief Investment Officer of IRG. “We’re
known for our adaptive reuse projects, but IRG also has deep experience in ground up
development. We’re very proud of what we have created alongside RoadOne and our
construction team at ARCO National Construction’s Cincinnati office.”
With the site well-positioned near the Port of Virginia, location was a major factor for RoadOne,
along with customizable building plans.
The Port of Virginia is a critical hub for international trade and economic activity on the U.S.
East Coast. Strategically located in the Mid-Atlantic, it offers deep-water access, modern
infrastructure, and direct rail connections to major inland markets. As a gateway for global
commerce, this location allows RoadOne’s new site to flourish.
