SUFFOLK, VA (May 23, 2025) MSI, a leading national distributor of flooring, countertops, wall tile, and hardscaping products, officially celebrated the grand opening of its brand-new East Coast distribution hub in Suffolk, Virginia, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by local leaders, economic development officials, and community partners.
The event, held on Thursday, May 22, at MSI’s newly completed 548,000-square-foot facility at 120 Westport Parkway, marked a significant milestone for the company and the region. The opening of this state-of-the-art distribution center represents a $61.6 million investment and will bring 80 new jobs to the City of Suffolk. Guests were welcomed with facility tours, remarks from MSI leadership, and a ceremonial ribbon cutting in front of the new building.
“This facility is a game-changer for how we serve our customers, but it’s also so much more than that. We’re creating good jobs, investing in the local economy, and becoming part of a community that’s welcomed us with open arms” said Zachery Chavis, Operations Director. “It’s exciting to know that what we’re building here in Suffolk is going to make a real impact — both for our customers and our neighbors.”
The grand opening reflects MSI’s continued nationwide growth and mission to make dream surfaces attainable.
